These Terms & Conditions apply to all reservations made directly through the Casa Lavender website.
By submitting a booking, the guest confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms.
1. About Casa Lavender
Casa Lavender is a privately operated holiday accommodation located in Frigiliana, Spain. They apply together with the booking confirmation and any specific conditions communicated to the guest before arrival.
2. Eligibility and Booking
The person making the reservation must be at least 21 years old. Guests under the age of 21 may stay at Casa Lavender only when accompanied by an adult responsible for them. The person making the reservation is responsible for providing accurate information and for ensuring that all members of the party comply with these Terms & Conditions. The number of guests staying at the property must not exceed the number stated in the confirmed reservation unless prior written approval has been obtained. The reservation becomes binding once the required payment has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued.
3. Minimum Stay
The standard minimum stay is 6 nights. Requests for shorter stays may be considered depending on availability and season. Any such arrangement must be agreed with us in advance. Longer stays may also be arranged subject to availability. Contact host for any non standard requests, such as shorter stays or long term stays.
4. Prices and Additional Services
All prices displayed on our website are in EUR (€). Rates may vary depending on the season, dates, length of stay and other booking conditions. We reserve the right to change prices for future reservations. We reserve the right for individual discount policy. The price confirmed at the time of booking will apply to that reservation. Children under the age of 3 stay free of charge. Baby cot, two potty chairs, two umbrella strollers, and a children's ride-on toy may be available on request and subject to availability - there is a surgcharge for children equipment. Any applicable additional charge will be communicated before the booking is confirmed. Additional services, where available, may be arranged separately and may incur an additional fee. For long-term stays (one month or longer), an additional €100 energy surcharge will be charged.
5. Reservations and Payment
Reservations can be made through our online booking system. When making a booking, the guest selects the available dates and accommodation and provides the information required to complete the reservation. Unless otherwise stated during the booking process: 50% of the total booking price is payable at the time of reservation. The remaining 50% is due no later than 20 days before arrival. A reservation is considered confirmed once the required payment has been successfully received. If a scheduled payment cannot be processed, we will contact the guest using the contact details provided at the time of booking. If the outstanding payment is not received within the agreed period, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Last-minute reservations For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment will be required at the time of booking.
6. Booking Confirmation
After a successful reservation, the guest will receive a booking confirmation by email. The confirmation will normally include: reservation dates; accommodation details; number of guests; total price and payment information; property address; contact details; relevant arrival instructions. Guests should check the confirmation carefully and contact us promptly if any information is incorrect.
7. Check-in and Check-out
Standard check-in time is: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Guests should provide their estimated arrival time at least 48 hours before arrival. Early check-in may be possible subject to availability. Late check-in or other special arrangements should be agreed in advance. Standard check-out is: before 10:00 AM Late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. An additional charge of €40 may apply. Unauthorised late departure may result in additional charges, including the cost of an additional night's accommodation where the property cannot be made available to the next guest.
8. Security Deposit
A €500 security deposit may be required at check-in. You will be informed in advance if a security deposit is required. Deposit is intended to cover accidental damage, loss of property, missing equipment, excessive cleaning or other costs resulting from a breach of these Terms & Conditions. The deposit will be returned after departure once the property and its contents have been inspected and no chargeable damage or loss has been identified. If the cost of damage or loss exceeds the amount of the security deposit, the guest remains responsible for the difference.
9. Keys and Access Devices
Guests are responsible for all keys, remote controls and other access devices provided to them. Lost or unreturned keys or remote controls may result in a charge of €50 per set. If an access device is returned damaged or no longer fully functional as a result of the guest's actions, the applicable replacement or repair costs may be charged.
10. What Is Included
The accommodation is prepared for each arrival and normally includes: bed linen; bath towels; beach towels; kitchen towels; kitchen equipment and appliances; standard household equipment; utilities such as electricity and water.
11. Cleaning and Housekeeping
The property is professionally cleaned before each stay. Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean and orderly condition at check-out. Additional cleaning can be arranged upon request and may be subject to an additional charge. Guests should report any damage, malfunction or other issue as soon as possible so that we have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it during the stay.
12. Cancellation by the Guest
If a reservation is cancelled by the guest, the following cancellation charges apply unless different conditions were expressly agreed at the time of booking: Cancellation charge More than 30 days before arrival 30% of the total booking price 3–30 days before arrival 70% of the total booking price Less than 3 days before arrival 100% of the total booking price Any applicable refund will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible. We strongly recommend that guests consider appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, illness, travel disruption and other unforeseen circumstances.
13. Changes to a Reservation
Requests to change the dates, number of guests or other booking details should be made as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested changes, but changes are subject to availability and may affect the price. A reduction in the length of the stay or a reduction in the number of guests does not automatically entitle the guest to a reduction in the originally agreed price. Changing the accommodation itself may require cancellation of the existing reservation and creation of a new reservation. An administration fee of €40 may apply to subsequent changes requested by the guest.
14. Changes or Cancellation by the Operator
In exceptional circumstances, including serious unforeseen events or an unavoidable overbooking situation, we may need to modify or cancel a reservation. Where reasonably possible, we will first offer alternative accommodation with our partners of a comparable standard. If an appropriate alternative cannot be provided, the reservation will be cancelled and payments received for the affected reservation will be refunded. Except where otherwise required by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for additional losses or expenses arising from such cancellation.
15. House Rules
Casa Lavender is a private holiday home and guests are expected to respect the property, neighbours and surrounding community. Number of guests Only guests included in the confirmed reservation may stay at the property. Unauthorised additional guests are strictly not permitted and may result in additional charge of €1000 or termination of the stay without refund. Guests must respect the peace and privacy of neighbours. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM. Excessive noise, particularly during quiet hours, is not permitted. Parties and events Parties, celebrations, events and group gatherings are strictly prohibited. Any breach of this rule may result in immediate termination of the stay and a €1000 penalty, without prejudice to any additional costs or damages. Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A charge of €100 may be applied if smoking inside the property results in additional cleaning, odour removal or other remedial work. Pets are permitted but must be specifically approved in advance.
16. Damage and Loss
Guests are responsible for any damage, breakage, loss or excessive cleaning resulting from their actions or the actions of members of their party. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for the conduct of children staying with them. Where an approved pet is staying at the property, the guest remains responsible for any damage or additional cleaning caused by the pet. Guests should report accidental damage as soon as possible. Prompt reporting may allow us to resolve an issue more efficiently and reduce additional costs.
17. Responsible Use of Utilities
Electricity, water and other standard utilities are included in the accommodation price, subject to reasonable use. Guests are expected to use these resources responsibly. Unusually excessive consumption or misuse of utilities may result in an additional charge where the additional cost can reasonably be attributed to the guest's use. Any such charge will be based on the actual or reasonably estimated additional cost. For long-term stays (one month or longer), an additional €100 energy surcharge will be charged.
18. Property Access and Maintenance
In exceptional circumstances, the operator or an authorised representative may need to access the property during a stay, for example for urgent maintenance, safety reasons or an essential repair. Where reasonably possible, the guest will be informed in advance. Emergency access may take place without prior notice where necessary to protect people or property.
19. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay. We recommend that valuables, travel documents and other important items are kept secure. Casa Lavender and its operator are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to guests' personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
20. Liability
Guests use the property, facilities and equipment at their own responsibility and must follow all safety instructions. The operator will not be responsible for accidents, injuries, theft or other loss occurring during the stay to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
21. Complaints and Problems
During Your Stay If you experience a problem with the accommodation, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to investigate the issue and, where possible, resolve it during your stay. Guests should not wait until after departure to report an issue that could reasonably have been addressed during the stay.
22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Spanish law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply.
23. Acceptance of These Terms
By completing a reservation, the guest confirms that they have had the opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them throughout their stay. These Terms & Conditions, together with the confirmed booking details and any specific conditions communicated before the reservation, form the basis of the accommodation agreement.
